Something So Good

Yesterday, I did nothing but observe the owner's activities for the day. He worked at his usual shift, 10 a.m to 6 p.m., at Tuxedo Villa. The nurse coordinator told him that the resident might have to stay at the villa for at least about a year. Of course, this is good news for him--meaning, he would have a steady shift for a long time. I saw him smile.

Upon arriving home, he was surprised by two packages in his room. Two more pairs of Doc Marten's boots that he ordered via eBay--a royal blue with floral engravement and one with a Spring-flowers design.

After eating an early dinner, he got a book, Love in the Time of Cholera, and put on a playlist which comprised of the following songs.

The Railway Children - "Something So Good"
The Railway Children - "Blue Sky"
The Railway Children - "Every Beat of the Heart"
The Mission U.K. - "Cocoon"
The Mission U.K. - "Butterfly on a Wheel"
The Mission U.K. - "Dragonfly"
The Mission U.K. - "Happy"
Blue Zoo - "Something Familiar"
Blue Zoo - "Open Up"
Blue Zoo - "Forgive and Forget"
The Sisters of Mercy - "First, Last, and Always"
The Sisters of Mercy - "Walk Away"
The Sisters of Mercy - "No Time to Cry"
Tuesday Blues - "Love Me Simple"
Tuesday Blues - "Tunnelvision"
INXS - "Beautiful Girl"
INXS - "Pretty Vegas"
INXS - "Devil Inside"
The Blue Hearts - "Train Train"
The Blue Hearts - "Linda Linda"

The Joy of Stalking

Whew! I spent several hours last night, back-reading the previous contents of this blogspot. I was amazed to realize that the original owner indeed possesses remarkable prolificacy and proficiency. I will certainly pale in comparison. But what the heck! I'm here only to tell his stories and not to compete with him.

Having nothing to do the whole day, I decided to stalk the owner. Saturday, he was up early. He worked at Tuxedo Villa today. He has been looking after a single resident for two and a half months now. The resident has Alzheimer's and is very violent when agitated and very aggressive even when unprovoked--the reason a one-to-one services of a health care aide was required. Fortunately, the owner was also nurse, so he knows well how to deal with the resident. The family of the resident and as well the management of Tuxedo Villa are thrilled about the owner's performance.

The owner was more excited these days because there's no more snow on the ground and biting chills of the wind. Spring has come at last. He can now wear his Doc Marten's boots without the fear of getting it messed up with the after-snow mud.

One interesting fact about the owner which I want to divulge today is, I never realized until today (as I was stalking him) that he has also a penchant for showbiz gossips! During his break time, he went to the Safeway superstore adjacent to the nursing home to buy some groceries. Then, I saw him drop by at the magazine section. I thought he would check out music magazines like AP, The Rolling Stones, but did you know what he picked up? Showbiz magazines!

I caught him smiling while he was reading the article about the late Ann Nicole Smith's daughter. Perhaps, he was keeping track to know who the real father was. Some other articles that he spent extra time reading included the updates on Britney Spears and the current flings of Paris Hilton.

Oh well, I am really enjoying this new hobby of mine: Stalking one of my secret idols.

Till then. I'll just check out what he is up to right now. I just saw him get something from the freezer. I'm sure he will be cooking something for his dinner and packed lunch for tomorrow's work. Yes, he works also on Sundays; hardworking guy. I hope he finds time to take some days off and smell the flowers of Spring.

New Management

After weeks of lobbying, I was finally able to convince the owner of this blogspot to sell it to me. How much? Let's just say that it cost me a hefty part of my fortune.

Anyway, impulsive as I tend to be every time the moon is blue, I bought this blogspot without even thinking what I am going to do with it.

Initially, I thought of following the trails of the original owner, but (being an avid fan since the early days of this blogspot) I realized that my life is remarkably lackluster, pale, boring, and uneventful compared with his.

So, in tribute to the owner himself, I decided to just serve as an observer and teller of his adventures and misadventures.

Lest I get myself in trouble, of course, I asked his permission. Kind and understanding as he always is, he allowed me...but with the condition that he would not be held liable for whatever I may write about him.

So, for whatever I may write here, the responsibility is solely mine and mine alone. The owner has ultimately decided to live a private life. But, of course, he couldn't stop fans like me to keep track of his doings. Call me a paparazzi, or even a stalker...

But I simply couldn't bear the fact that the cyberworld now exists without any eLf idea.

So, bear with me. I am certainly way, way below the standards of the real owner; but I'm just telling his stories through my own observations. Whatever impression every article might send through is my own.

All I want to write now about him is...

As always, he's busy with his work at the nursing homes, hardworking as ever, working literally seven days a week.

He recently returned to his elementary hobby of collecting Star Wars action figures, amassing more than a hundred new figures in the last two months.

He still writes for that newspaper, The Filipino Journal, maintaining two columns.

He lied low in his music making, but his band has an upcoming gig next month, along with fellow Filipino bands in Winnipeg.

His love life? Sorry, but this will be the only topic that cannot be discussed here. It's part of the terms of agreement in the purchase of his blogspot.

So, lest I lose this chance of a lifetime of becoming a sort of a storyteller, I'd rather write about those other interesting things other than love.

Thank you.

Please bear with me.
