The Birth of Evawwen Lii-athne Frriloem Mella
June 23, 2009
Half a year has passed since my last blog entry on this site of mine. With only a relatively short period of time, a lot of major changes in my life took place.
First, I am finally a father--a proud and fulfilled father, at that. My wife, Charina Oyong, gave birth to my firstborn (a baby boy), whom we named Evawwen Lii-athne Frriloem.
Evawwen (evaw wen) = the reverse spelling of New Wave--my favorite genre of music;
Lii-athne (liyi athney) = a name I coined; a character in the fantasy novel that I've long been writing; and
Frriloem (fri lowem) = another character from the said novel (Visionata Grandiosa).
Evawwen was born on February 4, 2009, 6 lbs and 8 ounces.
Using the words of my bestfriend Rain: "Finally, you are now immortal!"

No need to say more for now. Indeed, photographs tell far more vivid stories.
