Innocent After All

The inevitable suspect which I found lurking by the front door, near the scene of the crime. I would have accosted and accused this little rodent, but as it approached me unafraid, I saw in its beady black eyes a look of kindness and innocence.

After posing for a few shots on my digital camera, this squirrel I named Squikky went on its way towards our backyard lawn, perhaps to look for fallen berries and nuts. I waved goodbye and told him that he is always welcome to frolic around the house. Silently Squikky went, but not without waving first its bushy tail at me.
