Thank You, Short and Simple yet Sweet and Serious...

I express my gratitude to all the people who continue to take the time to read my thoughts and feel my woes. I thank all of you—my friends, acquaintances, and loved ones.

Realizing that I am never alone in this struggle with the difficulties of life is truly empowering. It gives me a very good reason to go on, strengthens my sense of hope, and illuminates my sense of direction.

Thank you.

I hereby share with all of you a few beautiful quotes about friendship from Friendship: A Book of Quotations, edited by Herb Galewitz, (1999, Dover)

"Friendship improves happines, and abates misery, by doubling our joy, and dividing our grief."—Joseph Addison

"In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge."—Aristotle

"Our friends see the best in us, and by that very fact call forth the best from us."—John Black

"Friendship! mysterious cement of the soul!
Sweet'ner of life, and solder of society."—Robert Blair

"Friendship makes prosperity brighter, while it lightens adversity by sharing its griefs and anxieties."—Marcus Tullius Cicero
