Friends Are a Real Comfort

With Ate Cons (Connie Tuazon) and her son, BJ

Friday, May 27
Ate Cons and BJ arrived at the house at 8 p.m. We had a dinner of spaghetti and roasted pork ribs, which my Uncle Renyboy cooked.
A former officemate at Diwa Scholastic Press Inc., in the Philippines, Ate Cons, with her son, immigrated to Manitoba, Canada, in 2003, the same year I went here to work as my maternal grandfather's caregiver. Finally, Ate Cons and I saw each other in Canada. We've been looking forward to this day since last year; and only now were Grandfather and I able to push through with our vacation in Manitoba, which is three-hour-flight away from Vancouver, British Columbia, where we are originally staying.
