I used to be a lector in highschool. I even tried to enter seminary in second year, but the follies of many leaders of my own religion caused me not to pursue it. I've since then begun to disobey many ritualistic commandments of the Roman Catholic, and I still disobey them to this day. I never liked the Church's penchant to foster guilt among its followers. I still attend mass once in a while—I enjoy the sense of communion and unity—but I stand by my own Faith and principles: "Whatever Faith or beliefs one has, so long as it makes the believer a better person to her/his fellow, nothing wrong I can see."

I graduated in highschool, in 1988, with a "Best Lector" award.
