This is not Chewbacca, but yes, this is a Wookiee.

The character above is a Wookiee warrior. However, in the events surrounding Revenge of the Sith, our belovèd Chewbacca was also a warrior.

Chewbacca's father was Attichitcuk, his wife Mallatobuck, and his son Lumpawarrump. Chewbacca was Han Solo's best friend. Sadly, the mighty and loyal Wookiee is already dead. He was on the planet Sernpidal when enemies altered the planet's gravity, thus causing its moon Dobido to crash into its surface. This event occurred years after Return of the Jedi.

Chewbacca is one of my favorite characters in the Star Wars saga because, for me, he fit the profile of the "perfect" friend: brave, courageous, industrious, helpful, simple, and most of all, conscientious and loyal.
