Photo taken on Monday, September 26, 2005, at Lake Manitoba by The Narrows; while I was focusing the camera for Grandfather, I took notice of these leafs that were glimmering like gold because of the sun; also, notice the droplet of moisture at the tip of the lowest leaf—such nature's wonder!
Another series of short poems of three eight-syllable lines (8-8-8) with the rhyme pattern a, b, a.
Uy! Ano ’yung narinig ko,
Animo may nagmumumog.
Aha! T’yan mo’y kumukulo.
Siguro ay gutóm ka na
Kaya t’yan mo’y kumukulo.
Teka, kumain ka na ba?
S’ya’y puyat sa katutulog,
Pagód sa kapapahinga,
Gutóm, pero laging busog.
Kabisado ko na’ng amoy
Ng utot ng aking lolo;
Palagi kasi ang simoy.
Ang kanyang tae’y bumulwak,
Nagkálat sa ’ming higáan.
Kung tae nga lang ay pilak.
Ang kati ng aking anit;
Wala naman akong kuto;
Siguro dahil sa init.
Bulbol n’ya’y kanyang inahit—
(Mas maganda ’pag makinis)
’katí raw kasi sa singit.
Nanindig ang balahibo—
Inisip ko pa kung bakit.
Natatae lang pala ’ko.
Biglang bumukas ang pinto,
Pero di ako natakot.
Kathang-isip lang ang multo.
Nagulantang ang kabayo
(Bigla itong kumaripas)
Nang paluin ng kutsero.
’buti pa ang mga dahon—
Hinahalikan ng hangin,
Dinidiligan ng ambon.
Madalas akong mangarap,
Lalo’t ako’y nag-iisa.
Utak—nasa alapaap.
What can I say, I AM A FAN.
ReplyDeleteHow did you ever get so good in both writing and photography?
This photo made me SMILE a very wide smile... and I still don't know why.
Hehehe. O di ba? Fan talaga?
Lei,
ReplyDeleteCredit Grandfather for it--photography used to be one of his passions even as a child. And also, most of the shots I took were by accident. Perhaps my eccentricity and penchant to be different gave me the "instinct" to notice things which are often ignored by others.
Thanks for the appreciation. (Gosh, I'm starting to feel the pressure. I have to strive to maintain my rep. Hahaha!)

On the contrary, my friend, as long as you enjoy what you do, you'll be the best at it. It wouldn't be the same if you're all pressured, believe me.
ReplyDeleteJust stay spontaneous.
I will be a willing student any time you decide to put up a Literary School ha.
